WHAT'S INCLUDED IN A SESSION?
Each session is a 50-minute part of your personalized program. Every session will focus on your goals in different ways. One day might be all on the Cadillac, one day we might use a variety of equipment. We include strength, mobility, stretching and the Pilates Principles in each session.

WHERE EXACTLY IS THE STUDIO?
We are actually INSIDE Carmel Barre Studio so look for the Carmel Barre sign and come on in! The studio is upstairs above Carmel Valley Roasting Company.

WHAT ARE THE PILATES PRINCIPLES?
1. Concentration: Maintaining a focused mind during exercises to improve body awareness and coordination.
2. Control: Precisely coordinating movements to engage the correct muscles and avoid injuries.
3. Centering: Engaging the core muscles (abdominals, obliques, and pelvic floor) to stabilize the body and improve posture.
4. Precision: Performing movements with accuracy and attention to detail to enhance muscle efficiency.
5. Breath: Using controlled, deep breathing to expand the rib cage, improve circulation, and engage the core.
6. Flow: Moving smoothly and rhythmically between exercises to create a graceful and efficient workout.
These principles are fundamental to the Pilates Method and ensure that exercises are performed safely, effectively, and with a holistic approach to mind-body connection.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Comfortable work out clothes, water and grip socks! If you need to purchase grip socks we sell them at the studio.
